ChodhiQ privacy notice
Information used
The app can use account and profile details such as your name and optional phone number, authentication identifiers, selected area and location when permitted, saved providers, enquiries and booking details, reviews, community posts, comments and photos, push tokens and preferences, and security or diagnostic information. The exact fields depend on features you use and permissions you grant.
Third-party services active in the beta-play app
These services are used by code paths enabled in the beta-play Android app. Use depends on the feature and your choices. This list does not determine each supplier's legal role or all information they may receive.
- Supabase: app authentication, database, storage, and Edge Function requests.
- Resend: email delivery provider used by Supabase for authentication emails, including confirmation and password recovery messages. It receives the recipient email address, message content, and delivery logs. Resend states that customer data, including message content and delivery logs, is stored in the United States. The Ireland sending region controls where email is sent from, not where that data is stored. On the Free plan, Resend retains email and log data for 30 days while the account is active; its backups persist for 7 days. See Resend's data storage and retention details.
- Google: native Google sign-in. These services may process data outside the UK and India.
- Expo and Firebase Cloud Messaging: push-token registration and Android push delivery. These services may process data outside the UK and India.
- OpenStreetMap: map tiles. These services may process data outside the UK and India.
- postcodes.io: postcode suggestions. These services may process data outside the UK and India.
- Cloudflare-hosted ChodhiQ confirmation page: email-confirmation callback.
- Sentry: crash and error reports, stack traces, redacted breadcrumbs, and performance traces sampled at 10%. The app clears the event's user field and redacts selected sensitive fields and patterns; this does not guarantee that every personal detail is removed. The app does not explicitly attach IP addresses. The repository does not establish Sentry's IP handling, retention, or processing location.
Supabase stores app data in South Asia (Mumbai, ap-south-1).
Not active or not confirmed in this beta
- Stripe payments are disabled by the beta-play profile.
- Google Mobile Ads are disabled by the beta-play profile, although the native SDK is included.
- Apple sign-in is iOS-only; beta-play creates an Android app bundle.
- The Google Maps SDK feature is disabled by the beta-play profile; the app uses its OpenStreetMap-based map fallback instead. Google Maps direction links remain available.
How information is used and shared
Information supports accounts, discovery, bookings, provider communication, community features, notifications, safety and service operation. Details you submit to a provider or share in a community feature may be visible to those recipients according to the feature's access controls. Map providers receive technical network requests when maps load.
Storage and retention
Some session, preference, selected-area and cached information is stored on your device. App data is stored in Supabase, region South Asia (Mumbai, ap-south-1). No routine database backups are currently kept. If that changes, this page will be updated. After an account deletion request, personal data is deleted within 14 days. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.
Optional purposes
We do not use personal data for marketing or advertising in the beta.
Account deletion
Use Profile → Settings → Privacy & your data → Delete account permanently, or follow the account deletion instructions. A request can also be sent to [email protected]. Never send your password.
Children
ChodhiQ is for people aged 18 and over (18+).
